I seem to only remember impressions of landscapes.

I remember the line of the horizon and of cliff faces, the colors of the sunsets, and the shadows from rolling hills. Landscapes from distant memories merge with new experiences and I paint places that I’ve never been yet feel longingly like home. Only a sky or body of water or a mountain peak may stand out enough in my mind to paint with detail while the rest fall into the abstract.
